Nature's gifts of serenity and beauty come home to Barton Creek's newest neighborhood Verano Drive. West of Verano Drive lie more than 4,000 acres of wildlife habitat that are cloaked in green hills and meander along the banks of Barton Creek. The master developer of the Barton Creek community provided the funds to purchase and establish the Barton Creek Preserve nearly a decade and a half ago. Thanks to their gift, the Nature Conservancy of Texas owns and maintains the protected lands to the benefit of native species and water quality, and now for the quiet enjoyment of Verano Drive owners.
