FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Why do I pay dues to more than one property owners association?
The Barton Creek South Master Property Owners Association is divided into three sub-associations. The master association oversees maintenance of roads, landscaping, irrigation and improvements that are common to all the sub-associations, handles architectural reviews for all improvements within the boundaries of the master association, and oversees association-wide improvement projects. Each sub-assocation is responsible for maintaining areas that are interior to their boundaries, i.e. not shared with other sub-associations, such as internal common area landscaping, mailboxes, gates, lighting, and streets.
What is the approval process for making improvements to my property?
All properties in Barton Creek South were developed with subject to strict deed restrictions in order to maintain and enhance property values within the community. Plans for any improvements, additions, or modifications to landscaping, exterior lighting, structures, play equipment, pools, etc., must be presented to the Architectural Control Committee (the "ACC") to ensure compliance with the deed restrictions. The approval process typically takes four to six weeks from the date plans are submitted and applicable fees are paid. For ACC meeting information, please contact Southwest Property Services at 479-3434 or info@swpsaustin.com.
Who do I call about issues regarding construction activity in my neighborhood?
Builders and contractors in Barton Creek South are expected to keep their jobsites tidy and they are not permitted to access, park or store materials, or to allow debris to accumulate on adjacent properties. There are specified work hours for each neighborhood, as well as limits on loud radios and bringing dogs to construction sites. Builders are subject to fines if they are not in compliance with construction regulations. What is the marketing signage policy in Barton Creek?

Temporary "Open House" signs may only be posted on Sundays and careful attention should be made to avoid destruction of landscaping when installing and removing open house signage. Please call Southwest Property Services at 479-3434 for a complete copy of the signage policy, along with order forms.
